I closed out the poll about the date for the Great Lakes gathering.
The most popular date was Saturday, May 31st, which is also the only
date a couple of key people can make it. So mark that date on your
calendars! Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll and I
hope that the date will work out for everyone, even if it wasn't your
first choice.
I'll leave the location poll open for a few more days and may then
throw out a couple of location possibilities based on the results of
the poll. If anyone has any suggestions as to parks or activities,
please feel free to post to the list or e-mail me directly. I am
happy to coordinate this, but welcome suggestions and ideas from
everyone else to make this a successful gathering.
Thanks!

Hi!
Because it's centrally located, I recommend the park where the first
Michigan box was placed (April Fools), at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter,
Michigan (between Jackson and Ann Arbor). (Here is the link to the clues:
http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Canopy/7962/apfool.htm). It is a lovely
park and the Huron River runs through it -- with excellent kayaking. There
is a day pass fee (I think it's $4 or something like that).
Kind regards,
Ruthann
